| In June we celebrated Nomad Hope’s work in Niger with a fabulous African Music Festival on Sunday, June 10th.
Three musicians from Tidawt, a popular Tuareg band, made an incredible journey from their small village in the Sahara to play for us and help raise funds to build a Community Center near their home in Niger, Africa.
We had a great turnout and are off to a good start, raising 13% of our financial target for the 2007-2008 planned projects! The silent auction was a big hit, with a last minute frenzy for the most coveted items and Tidawt kept us dancing throughout the beautiful California day.
